- Paint in the grooves first and then paint on surface
- If you want to add detail use a pencil to draw it in first and then trace it with a marker
- On larger surface areas use a wide (up to 1/2) flat brush for the best finish. Foam brushes work well also.
- Take your time, and if you make a mistake or want to make a change just paint over it.
- Don't put the paint on too thick; use multiple coats instead. Allow to dry between coats. Brush out any thick gobs of paint before it starts to dry.
- Groovee shapes are great for use with water-based paints and markers, even crayons. Use stickers, and stencils to make letters and other details. Glue on glitter or anything else imaginable.
